Giuseppina has a longstanding research experience in the role of CD31 in vascular biology and immunology. She works both as a cardiologist and a research scientist at the University Hospital Bichat, in Paris. Giuseppina completed her medical studies at the Catholic University of Rome, obtained a PhD in experimental medicine at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm and performed a postdoc in Paris. After two years at the Cardiovascular R&D Department of Sanofi, she went back to academia as principal scientist at Inserm. In 2018 she was appointed head of “Cardiovascular Immunobiology” within at the Laboratory for Vascular Translational Science, INSERM U1148.
